Since we were celebrating a personal anniversary milestone, we decided to return to where it all started: dinner over sushi.
After garlic edamame, we began with a selection of sushi: Truffle Halibut (hirame topped with fresh black truffle shavings from Italy) Aburi King Salmon (seared king salmon with garlic sauce) and the Eel Mascarpone (fresh weather eel seared with mascarpone cheese and avocado).
Continuing, we enjoyed the freshly grated wasabi alongside the Albacore sashimi (garlic sauce, cucumber, shiso leaf). As for rolls? Well, at Sushi Enya, they do rolls a little differently. Upon order, you receive 15 thin slices per order. Upon first bite, I realized why. Your mouth can focus on the taste and the oral experience. The Lemon Roll (salmon, spicy salmon, avocado, cucumber, lemon), Chef Number 1(tuna, shrimp tempura, avocado, cajun powder), W. Dragon (salmon, yellowtail, tuna, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, avocado) were delectable.
To finish, we ended with the Black Cod (gindara, house made miso & walnut). Simply put, Sushi Enya was simply a pleasure.
