Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market is a historic public market overlooking Elliott Bay known for fresh seafood, local produce, artisan shops, and its iconic fish-throwing vendors, making it one of Seattle’s most popular and lively attractions

Overlooking Puget Sound, Pike Place is one of those places that I always try to stop at when I’m in Seattle. My first visit was over 15 years ago, during a Western United States road trip. I remember the way the fog rolled in, the way the neon illuminated the signage and the way the fishmongers threw the fish as they called out sayings.

It’s just one of those places that, if you’re visiting Seattle, it’s nice to make a stop at. Plus, you can visit the first Starbucks – as well as enjoy other modern treats.
